Behind-The-Scenes: Meet the creatives behind Assassinato & Saraevo music videos
After conceptualizing the project and developing a creative direction, we brought together crews, and performers from across Montréal—to create the SPRLUA’s first music videos, Saraevo and Assassinato.
Starring dance performers Shanice Vincent and Pascale Chroné - as well as SPRLUA, the imagery is set to a bass-centric track built upon a short yet constantly-evolving melodic theme. Flavie Halais @ Delfina Studio, Dayana Matasheva, Edson Niebla, Billy-R Blanc, Emmanuelle Parent and Aimé Madore.

Its visual manifestation: Saraevo, pairs SPRLUA’s minimalist locally - crafted sound with a succession of cold and carefully composed shots in the beautiful slopes of Quebec's Sutton.

Through creative dialogue, the directors took their experience in film and brought a concise, fresh depiction of natural scenery, sound and dance performance in a visually striking and perceptive manner, showing that music and film don't have to be mutually exclusive, and never should be.
